Description

In this role, you will implement and manage projects and assure timely, high quality client deliverables. As a Senior Account Executive, you will manage the project life cycle, using approved techniques and tools to achieve milestones and deliver results. You will drive the daily activities of the project, communicating with key internal service delivery personnel, as well as managing scope change and timeline inhibitors. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing projects in such a way as to promote and assist the success and profitability of all projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Client Management:

  • Provide quality management based on internal/external client expectations
  • Assist and provides liaison with faculty/moderators
  • Interact with clients as directed by Account Supervisor or corresponding Account leadership
  • Coordinate and participate in content planning call with faculty and/or key content experts and personnel
  • Develop client agendas, status reports, and contact reports as required

Project Management:

  • Responsible for overall management and delivery of individual client project assignments
  • Work with Traffic to develop timelines and communicate milestones
  • Execute projects according to timelines and budgets; manages the internal team accordingly
  • Identify possible red flags in projects and alert team accordingly
  • Modify core project framework plans to accommodate customized project plans or client requests
  • Take detailed notes during all client interactions then prepare client contact reports and summarize next steps

Leadership:

  • Function as internal team leader, ensuring all members of the team work together smoothly and effectively
  • Manage communication with key, internal personnel regarding initial and ongoing information and status

Business Development:

  • Assist in identifying opportunities for organic growth within assigned accounts
  • Coordinate pitch presentations and request for proposals when applicable
  • Assist client services team to support the development of new business initiatives

Finance:

  • Contribute to the development of client proposals, budgets, and reconciliations
  • Monitor budget, including direct costs and labor costs; notify the Account Supervisor of out-of-scope items and hours
  • Assist Account Supervisor or similar Client Services role with the preparation and submission of applicable financial and forecasting reports

Departmental Responsibilities:

  • Provide standard and customized reports to clients at specified intervals
  • Adhere to PhRMA, FDA, OIG, and ACCME guidelines
  • Attend internal meetings with sales, client services, meeting services, traffic, and other key personnel to discuss project status as required
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality control of client materials and, as appropriate, develop best practice protocols for internal project teams to facilitate quality control

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related subject
  • At least 3 years as an Account Executive in a pharmaceutical/medical communications agency
  • Ability to travel to client meetings up to 10%.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
