Description

VP, Integrated Strategy, working with cross-discipline teams including Market Access Content Experts, Creative, Development and Account teams, is responsible for assisting in planning and development of measurable online and offline strategies for our clients. This includes reporting on and communicating the success of strategic initiatives to clients via monthly meetings and reports, presentation deck development, and documentation of tactical and strategic plans. This role will also help to ensure that digital best practices are upheld by utilizing analysis, discovery, and assisting in providing ongoing insights for brands. The integrated Strategy Department holds responsibility for brand planning, workshop creation, Digital strategy and implementation, media planning, and multichannel planning, as well as Market Research and Analytics.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work to convert intelligence from Market Access Content Experts into strategic communication plans
  • Handle and manage the insights and analytics teams that conduct and participate in market research, fact finding, and reporting/analytics
  • Craft multi-channel tactical plans and manage client offline and online (digital) strategies
  • Implement and build health economic capabilities for the agency
  • Integrate with PR group
  • Participate in new business opportunities and pitches
  • Manage client facing technological and digital production, including information architecture
  • Keep abreast of new opportunities and developments and share information with the team/agency
  • Pull together key team members for brainstorming, ideation and expertise as various goal and growth opportunities are identified for clients and brands
  • Assemble and facilitate workshops for clients including during yearly planning cycles
  • own all digital topics to become a Subject Matter Expert, developing into a deeper resource for the team
  • Participate and lead campaign tactical planning brainstorms and multi-channel communication planning and strategy based off findings
  • Monitor day-to-day campaign performance
  • Keep abreast of new media opportunities and developments and share information with the team/agency
  • Perform research, analyze trends/results to determine strategic implications
  • Coordinate with Creative and Digital Marketing teams to set the initial digital architecture of sites and client offerings
  • Craft monthly strategy reports including media recommendations, research, campaign implementation and reporting/analysis
  • Identify opportunities to assist in developing processes to streamline execution of products
  • Contribute to New Business efforts when appropriate

Requirements

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

  • Solid scientific understanding in a specific therapeutic category
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to think strategically, exercise good judgment and proactively provide innovative ideas to the agency team
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to foster teamwork and a collaborative atmosphere
  • Background experience and/or understanding of digital technologies and process
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills along with excellent verbal and written/presentation communications skills
  • Works well in team environment with strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet conflicting priorities as well as successfully manage day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to garner support from all internal stakeholders

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree, graduate degree preferred
  • Five to ten years of experience in pharmaceutical advertising agency Supervisory Responsibility:
  • Supervise all levels of strategic staff
